A Day at the Museum

The Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, in Istanbul, was the first in Turkey to house Turkish-Islamic artworks together and also the last museum to open during the Ottoman Empire period. The museum is famous for having the best rug collection in the world. World class masterpieces date back to incredibly rare 13th century Seljuk carpets that cannot be found anywhere else.  A collection of this magnitude is a textile lover’s dream. Paige left incredibly inspired; it is not every day you see master works of art.
