get to know the rug guru
Paige Albright
Paige’s background in interior design and art history serves her well in the rug industry. Having spent more than two decades with a career exclusively dedicated to oriental rugs she is a wealth of knowledge and a trusted advisor in the industry. After working to become a certified rug appraiser Paige launched her own business in 2007. Located in Mountain Brook Village, Paige Albright Orientals feels like walking into a stunning museum with one-of-a-kind textiles of various cultures from all around the world.
There is no one else in the state of Alabama with as much knowledge of rugs, or that possesses as many specialized credentials in the industry, as Paige. She was invited to become a part of the Hajji Baba Club, which is the oldest organization in America devoted to the study of oriental carpets and antique textiles. She is a true enthusiast and has a passion for antique pieces. Yet her inventory is vast ranging from vintage to modern, and even custom rugs.
Paige is constantly working to gain more knowledge of rugs as she engages in the community of prominent collectors and textile scholars. She has a reputation that precedes her within the industry, and enjoys speaking engagements whenever possible. She also sits on the board of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Alabama where she visits with and educates the textile students annually.
For the sake of her work, which takes her all across the globe, Paige is very well-traveled. To stay up-to-date on recent trends and to add to her fast-moving inventory, Paige often goes to the New York Market as well. Paige is truly devoted to her clients and has a passion for rugs that is palpable.
